Updated: Oct 8, 2021
Māori Warden groups of the Wellington District receive laptops from Spark and Kāinga Ora.
The Wellington District Māori Wardens collective continue their journey of going digital as part of the modernisation of their operations through out the Hutt Valley, Wellington and Porirua thanks to Spark, Kāinga Ora and the Police.
Spark are trialling this kaupapa with laptops that are surplus to requirements. The devices were gifted from Kāinga Ora and Spark equipped them with useful programmes, such as Microsoft Office. A number of laptops will be going into each Branch or Warden Group associated with the Wellington District Māori Wardens. These laptops will enable connectivity among Warden branches and improve the administrative aspects of their offices.
